Poor compliance of SOPs at exam centers, Shafqat Mahmood shows concern

Lahore, 27th April: With the ongoing pandemic wave, the government of Pakistan announced to conduct the Cambridge exams for O and A-Level students under the compliance of coronavirus SOPs. However, such a case was not observed on April 26 when the A-Level students appeared for their first exam. Students shared images and videos on social media to report violations of coronavirus SOPs at the examination centers. Looking at the recent situation, Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mehmood announced on Tuesday that after seeing the poor compliance of coronavirus SOPs outside the exam venues, NCOC will conduct a special session today. Permission to hold exam was conditional on strict SOP observance. As more reports have come in, It is obvious that outside the exam centres the compliance is poor.
