PPMA donates Rs120m worth medicines to Afghanistan

Lahore: On the request from Public Health Ministry of Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Member Companies of PPMA in Lahore dispatched the consignment of medicines to Islamabad, which would be handed over to Afghan Health delegation through Dr. Faisal Sultan, Special Assistant of Prime Minister on Health and Mr. Asim Rauf, CEO, Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP), Government of Pakistan.

“We are dispatching consignment of medicines worth Rs 120 Million to Afghanistan via Islamabad from Pakistan Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association (PPMA)”, Qazi Muhammad Mansoor Dilawar, Chairman (Centre) and Dr. Faisal Q. Khokhar, Chairman (North) of the PPMA told the Media in Lahore.

The Public Health Minister of Afghanistan Dr. Qalandar Ebad had requested the Pakistan Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association (PPMA) to donate medicines for hospitals in Afghanistan and handed over a list of medicines.

A ceremony to sending Donation of Medicine to Islamabad was held at Harmann Pharma’s factory in Lahore.

Qazi M. Mansoor Dilawar, Chairman PPMA thanked Engr. M. Haseeb Khan for collecting and storing Medicines in his premises.

On this occasion Qazi. Muhammad Mansoor Dilawar, Chairman PPMA, Dr. Faisal Q. Khokhar, Chairman PPMA North, Mr. Hamid Raza, Engr. M. Haseeb Khan, Mian Yasir Liaqat, Mr. Saleem Iqbal, Dr. Mohammad Tahir Azam, Mr. Amir Saleem Butt, Mr. Khalid Munir, Dr. Uzair Nagra, Qazi Umar Faizan, Mr. Abu Bakar Saleem and Syed Adeel Haider, Assistant Secretary PPMA were present.
