Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has warned the federal government against revising the 18th Constitutional Amendment.

While addressing media in Islamabad on Tuesday, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said, “The federal government cannot change the 18th amendment and we are ready to explain this to other stakeholders,” he said.

The PPP chairman asserted that the federal government will be limited to the federal capital if they continue to be non-cooperative with all the provinces.

He said 18th Amendment empowers the provinces but the federal government was not willing to do so.

Bilawal Zardari earlier on Monday criticized Prime Minister Imran Khan over the lack of measures to tackle the COVID-19 situation.

He said the prime minister statements were creating confusion about coronavirus lockdown. It is the responsibility of the federal government to frame policy at the national level but that is missing. He suggested to the government to reduce the prices of petrol as well as that of electricity and gas to the benefit of the coronavirus affected people.
