PPP wins AJK Bagh seat, defeats PMLN, PTI candidates

Sardar Zia Qamar of Pakistan People’s Party has been successful in the by-election for the Legislative Assembly seat in Bagh district of Azad Jammu Kashmir (AJK).
According to the unofficial and unverified results of the election held on Thursday, Sardar Zia Qamar of Pakistan People’s Party has won with 22 thousand 619 votes.

Muslim League-N’s candidate Mushtaq Minhas is second with 17,321 votes, while Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s Colonel Zameer has secured 4,630 votes.
Mushtaq Minhas congratulated and met Sardar Zia Qamar in viral photos on social media.
PML-N leader and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Attaullah Tarar claimed on Twitter some time ago that ‘PML-N has a clear advantage in the by-elections in Bagh seat in Azad Kashmir.
However, shortly after this post, he shared a video on Twitter and wrote, “What is happening?” It seems that 80 to 90 percent polling took place here.
