Election Commissioner Balochistan Abdul Qayyum Shinwari has been posted as Additional Director General Admin in the Secretariat. Fayyaz Hussain Murad, a Grade 19 officer in the Election Commission of Balochistan, has been promoted to Grade 20. Local body elections in Punjab, how many people will be in the Neighborhood Council and how many seats will be, details have come. According to reports, a formula has been worked out for the ratio of population and seats of Neighborhood Councils and Village Panchayat Councils of 455 local bodies across the province, including the Metropolitan Corporation Lahore. The minimum population of Neighborhood Council will be 6,000 while the maximum will be 45,000.
Under the Local Government Act 2019, the formula for population and seat ratio of Neighborhood Village Panchayat Councils has been decided for holding local body elections. The maximum population of Neighborhood Councils will be 45,000 while the minimum will be 6,000. Village Panchayat Councils will have a maximum population of 25,000 and a minimum population of 2,000. Neighborhood councils will be formed in urban areas while village panchayat councils will be formed in rural areas.

Neighborhood councils with a population of 20,000 to 45,000 will have 5 general councilors, 2 women and one minority seat. Neighborhood councils with a population of 13,000 to 20,000 will have four general councilors, one female councilor and one minority councilor. Neighborhood councils with a population of 6,000 to 13,000 have three general councilors, one female councilor and one minority councilor. Neighborhood councils with a population of up to 6,000 have two general councilors, one woman and one minority councilor.
Village Panchayat Councils from 15,000 to 25,000 will have 5 general councilors, 2 women and one minority councilor. Village council councils with a population of 8,000 to 15,000 will have four councilors, one woman and one minority. Neighborhood councils with a population of 2,000 to 8,000 will have three general councilors, one woman and one minority. Neighborhood councils with a population of up to 2,000 will have two general councilors, one woman and one minority seat.
