According to Baaghi TV reports, the letter of American President Donald Trump in which he called Turkish President to make a deal with Syrian Kurds and not to be ‘a tough guy’ or ‘a fool,’ was strongly rejected and thrown into the trash by Turkish President Erdogan.
The treatment of President Trump’s letter by Turkish President is missive move, which sparked quite an uproar both in the US and Turkey, was reported by BBC and described as “Turkish presidential sources”. “President Erdogan received the letter, thoroughly rejected it and put it in the bin”.
A similar news was reported by the Middle East Eye, which cited unknown Turkish diplomatic officials. Some Turkish journalists also reported that the letter of United States President is being treated in that fashion.
In his Non Diplomatic letter, President Trump threatened Erdogan with economic sanctions on Turkey, should he commit to “slaughtering thousands of civilians” in the Northern Kurdish-majority region of Syria and demanded him to strike a deal with the Syrian Kurds.
“History will look upon you forever as the devil if good things don’t happen. Don’t be a tough guy. Don’t be a fool!” Donal Trump said to Erodgan in his letter.
Turkey launched the cross-border military operation last week in Northern areas of Syria, which Turkey says targets Kurdish terrorists, on the same day President Erdogan received the letter and has since repeatedly defied pressure from Trump and other Western leaders.
