ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has said that it is a matter of great honor for Pakistan that the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit is progressing smoothly.
Federal Minister Attaullah Tarar said that yesterday Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held bilateral meetings with the Heads of States visiting Pakistan for the SCO Summit in Islamabad, who appreciated the country’s hospitality. A cultural Qawwali night was also organized for the guests last night.
A Media Facilitation Center is providing all facilities to journalists from Pakistan and abroad.

It is pertinent to note that the SCO Summit has started in Islamabad. Welcoming the leaders and delegates at the Jinnah Convention Center in Islamabad, Premier Shehbaz Sharif delivered his inaugural address. Yesterday, the PM welcomed the guests upon arrival in Pakistan and hosted a dinner in the evening in their honour.
Later, Shahbaz Sharif was met by the leaders of Tajikistan, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Heads of State Meeting, during which close cooperation in the fields of trade, investment, energy and regional ties was discussed. The need to strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation was also emphasized.
