LAHORE: A petition has been filed in a Lahore police station against Prime Minister Imran Khan for threatening former President and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader, Asif Ali Zardari. According to Baaghi TV reports, the court has sought a reply from the Station House Officer (SHO) for not registering the case.

The petition to register a case against the current Prime Minister (PM) of Pakistan has been filed in the Factory Area police station. The applicant, PPP member Chaudhry Muhammad Yousuf, submitted the writ petition of 22-A, 22-B.

Additional District and Sessions Judge Mr. Wasim Kachehri Ferozwala sought a reply from SHO Police Station Factory Area on the application. The petition stated that the Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan had threatened to kill PPP Chairman Asif Ali Zardari, alleging that Asif Ali Zardari will be his first target. According to the petition, Imran Khan threatened Asif Ali Zardari so a case should be filed against him.

Earlier, a petition was filed against PM Imran Khan in the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) for threatening former President Asif Ali Zardari. The petition was filed by PPP Rawalpindi Secretary General Raja Sajid Umar, in which it was stated that Prime Minister Imran Khan had threatened former President Asif Ali Zardari.

According to the petitioner, in a speech, Imran Khan had insulted the Opposition leader. The petitioner was of the view that the speech had been heard and seen by the whole world, during which Imran Khan insulted Asif Ali Zardari and Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto. This speech has brought Pakistan disrepute all over the world. The petition urges the concerned FIA authorities to take notice of the Prime Minister’s threatening and insulting remarks and take necessary action.

It is to be noted that Prime Minister Imran Khan while addressing the workers at the Governor House on the occasion of his visit to Karachi, had said that Asif Ali Zardari has been the target of my gun for a long time.
