It has been reported that the Prince will no longer be referred to as “His Royal Highness” following the Queen’s decision to redistribute his titles and duties among other members of the British Royal Family. In addition, Buckingham Palace has said that the Prince will pursue the case as a “private citizen” and will not be allowed to “undertake any public duties”.

According to Sky News, the Duke of York is facing trial in a US court for his association in the Epstein-Maxwell sexual trafficking ring. It is pertinent to note that the Duke is being sued by Virginia Giuffre who claimed that acts of “sexual assault and battery” had been initiated against her when she was a teenager.

Moreover, the sex trafficking victim has alleged that she was trafficked by Epstein-Maxwell in order to have sex with Prince Andrew at the age of 17. However, the Duke had denied the claims. According to royal commentator Alastair Bruce, the statement issued by Buckingham Palace is clear. Bruce elaborated that it shows the Queen will not allow the Duke of York to participate in any royal occasions including the upcoming jubilee celebrations.

Prince Andrew is being stripped of titles including Colonel of the Grenadier Guards, Royal Colonel of the Royal Highland Fusiliers, Colonel-in-chief of the Small Arms School Corps, Honorary air commodore of RAF Lossiemouth, and others.
