Recently, Prince Harry joined the Los Padres at the Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club in California, playing with Argentinian star Nacho Figueras.
Soon after, on Wednesday, Prince William played at the Out—Sourcing Inc. Royal Charity Polo Cup near Windsor at the Guards Polo Club.
Fans were quick to call him out and to wonder whether he had copied Prince Harry. One tweeted, “Copying his younger brother then? No originality.”
Another said: “He couldn’t hold it out any longer to follow in Harry’s footsteps. I wonder if this is going to be a frequent occurrence?”
Others defended him, saying that it was normal for royals to play polo for charity.
Someone also pointed out that the Duke of Cambridge has been regularly performing since 2005 for charity and that “ in 2011 he was invited at Santa Barbara polo matches, and only missed in 2020 when the tournament was cancelled due to Covid.”
