Prof. Dr. Asghar Zaidi will be first Vice Chancellor of Baba Guru Nanak University

Vice Chancellor Government College University Lahore Prof. Dr. Asghar Zaidi has been given the additional charge of the first Vice Chancellor of Baba Guru Nanak University. In this regard, after the approval of Governor Punjab Ch. Muhammad Sarwar, the Department of Higher Education issued a notification. Until the appointment of a permanent Vice Chancellor, Dr. Asghar Zaidi will run the affairs of Baba Guru Nanak University. In a meeting with the Governor in Lahore, Dr. Asghar Zaidi was given charge of Guru Nanak University. On the occasion, Prof. Dr. Asghar Zaidi said that it is an honor to be the first Vice Chancellor of Baba Guru Nanak University. He said that he would fulfill the additional responsibility given to him by the government in an honest and efficient manner. At the same time, he will make Baba Guru Nanak University a center for the study of Sikhism and the promotion of the Punjabi language.
