PSL 5: Kings takes the victory over Zalmi
Rawalpindi, 3rd March: Yesterday it was an exciting match between Karachi Kings and Peshawar Zalmi, as the Kings were given an easy target of 152 runs, in the 15th match of the fifth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
In the match played at Rawalpindi Stadium, Karachi Kings won the toss and decided to field first.
According to the reports from the playground, Peshawar Zalmi opened the innings with Tom Benton and Kamran Akmal, which went disappointingly slow.
Kamran Akmal, who scored a century in the tournament, also caught Babar Azam on the ball of Aamir Yameen for four. He scored 151 runs in 8 overs.
Shoaib Malik batted brilliantly and scored 55 runs off 68 balls with six and six fours while Liam Livingstone and Louis Gregory were 25 for 25. Karachi Kings were dismissed by Mohammed Amir, 4 and Chris Jordan on 2.
Peshawar Zalmi yesterday, was not being led by their captain Darren Sammy in the match and Wahab Riaz was leading the team.
The team of Karachi Kings included Babar Azam, Emad Wasim, Cameron Delport, Alex Hales, Mohammad Amir and Sharjeel Khan, which are capable to turn up the match at any time.
Both teams have won two matches and lost two. All match events are being broadcasted live on GeoSuper.
