PSL: Multan Beats Islamabad to Record 4th Consecutive Win

KARACHI: After a thrilling run chase, Multan Sultans continue to maintain their winning momentum against Islamabad United at the National Stadium, Karachi. Islamabad United lost by 20 runs against the target of 218. 

Despite Shadab Khan’s 9 sixes and 5 fours, the team failed to chase down the score put forward by Multan Sultans. Khushdil Shah was highly praised for his performance, sending four Islamabad United players to the pavilion.

David Willey also stood prominent amongst Multan Sultans, clinching three wickets against the rival team. Rumman Raees and Anwar Ali took one wicket each. With setting the highest target of 218 in the 7th edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL), Multan Sultans most definitely top the game this season.

Tim David set the bar high with his ruthless 71 runs off 29 balls while Rilee Rossouw also remained unbeaten with 67 off 35 balls. Shan Masood also scored 43 runs.

Moreover, Hassan Ali, Wasim Jr., and Merchant de Lange also took one wicket each.

Both the teams played exceptionally well and after a ruthless competition, Multan Sultans succeeded in winning 4th time consecutively in the seventh generation of the PSL matches. This match certainly makes the winning team undefeated since they managed to record the highest run score in PSL so far.
