PSX Attack: The suspects had long-range combat equipment, CTD

KARACHI: In-charge CTD Raja Umar Khattab has said that the terrorist attack on Pakistan Stock Exchange was a suicide attack in which the accused were not included in the live return mission and the accused had long-range combat equipment.
According to Raja Umar Khattab, in-charge of the anti-terrorism wing, the items recovered from the possession of the slain terrorists included a large number of grenades and modern weapons, as well as bottled water and other items.

He said that the items recovered from the terrorists suggest that the suspects had stored long-term fighting equipment with law enforcement agencies after entering the stock exchange building. The return of terrorists alive was not included in the mission. Raja Umar Khattab said that no suicide jacket was found from the terrorists.

According to the anti-terrorism wing in charge, a terrorist was identified as Salman who is a resident of Balochistan and the vehicle BAB 6299 is also registered in his name. The car recovered from the possession of the terrorists is clear in the police records.
He added that the terrorists had carried out a similar operation at the Chinese Consulate in Karachi.
