Lahore, 20th May: The first formal contact between the PTI government and the Jahangir Tareen group has been made.
According to reports, an agreement between PTI and Jahangir Tareen Group was reached after senior federal ministers approached Jahangir Tareen.
As per sources, matters have been settled between the government and Jahangir Tareen group.
Jahangir Tareen group withdrew its decision to boycott the 2021-2022 budget meeting and the members of the group will now vote for the government in the budget.
Jahangir Tareen raised concerns about the Punjab government with federal ministers and demanded that members of our group not be subjected to political retaliation.
Government sources said that Jahangir Tareen’s objections to the Punjab government would be removed and the government and Jahangir Tareen’s group would meet again on Saturday.
Earlier in the day, Baaghi TV reported that Prime minister Imran Khan will soon be facing more difficulties after 5 to 6 MPAs and some MNAs will join the Jahangir Tareen Group.
It is pertinent to mention that on Tuesday, the senior PTI leader Jahangir Tareen announced to form a group of like-minded politicians in the National and Punjab assemblies, after which a rift widened between the PTI government and Jahangir Tareen.
