Federal Minister Fawad Chaudhry has said that the PTI government has only six months. Imran Khan has told the cabinet that if it does not perform in six months, things will go the other way.

Internal strife within the party hurt the government. Advisers to the Prime Minister are making decisions and politicians are watching. The role of the military increased due to weak political leadership. He expressed these views in an exclusive interview with VOA’s senior journalist Sohail Warraich.

Sohail Warraich asked where do you see yourself after three years? Fawad Chaudhry said that six months of planning rule is implemented in Pakistan. Three years is a long time today. He said that nowadays the Prime Minister does not follow his advice. But he keeps giving advice.

The minister went on to say that Jahangir Tareen had lobbied against Asad Umar that led to his resignation for the Ministry of Finance in April 2019. He said later Asad Umar, after being appointed as federal minister again, ensured the removal of Jahangir Tareen’s influence from party politics and decision-making.

Fawad also criticised his own party and said the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf failed to bring change as promised in the country due to its own mistakes.
