PTI leader Shahid Gondal passes away
Lahore, 31st January: PTI leader Shahid Gondal passes away in Rawalpindi on Saturday night.
Baaghi TV: PTI activist and chairman of the Insaf Lawyers Wing Advocate Shahid Naseem Gondal passed away at the Military Hospital Rawalpindi on Saturday.
Party leaders and his family confirmed his death stating that he passed away after having complications from the novel coronavirus.
As per reports, Gondal was also serving as the Chief Legal Adviser of the Capital Development Authority.
His nephew, Ihteshamul Haq Mato confirmed on his Facebook account last month that the PTI leader had tested positive for COVID-19. He also stated that Gondal had been undergoing treatment for complications arising from COVID-19, including a lung infection, since the last few days.
According to Gondal’s nephew, his funeral prayers will be held at his ancestral village of Mato Sharif in Mandi Bahauddin at 3 pm.
Prime Minister Imran Khan conveyed his condolences after news of Gondal’s passing surfaced.
