PTI petitions in foreign funding rejected by ECP

ISLAMABAD, Oct 10: Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) rejected four applications of the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) in foreign funding case.

Chief Election Commissioner Justice (retd) Sardar Mohammad Raza was head of bench listening plea of PTI against working of scrutiny committee.

Chief Election Commissioner rejected all four applications and asked scrutiny committee to continue its work.Three members bench also ordered Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf leadership to appear before the committee on 14 October.

This verdict was reserved on October 1 by three member bench of election commission.

Verdict reserved, PTI foreign funding case

A former member of PTI Akbar S. Babar had filed the case in 2014.Babar talking to media while lauding the decision requested the election commission for daily hearing of the case.
