Farrukh Habib, a long-time member of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has recently decided to part ways with Imran Khan’s party. He has officially joined the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) and made this announcement during a press conference held at IPP’s headquarters in Lahore.

Farrukh Habib’s association with PTI runs deep, as he was one of the founding members of PTI’s student wing, the Insaf Student Federation (ISF). He also held the position of Minister of State for Information in Prime Minister Imran Khan’s cabinet.

Habib explained that his decision to leave PTI was made after consulting with friends and spiritual leaders. During his announcement, he expressed strong disapproval of the events that occurred on May 9 and criticized Imran Khan for allegedly promoting anti-military sentiments among the people.

In his view, Imran Khan had chosen a confrontational approach over a peaceful and democratic one by opting for force over ballots.
