February 14,2021: PTI Khurram Sherzaman rejected Sindh government’s wheat pricing strategy.
According to Khurram Sherzaman, “The decision is an attempt to reward some privileged families. Wheat bought cheaply last year will now be bought for Rs 5,000.The Sindh government is providing unhealthy and waste-laden wheat to the people. Price of Rs 2,000 has been fixed for the benefit of cabinet ministers instead of Rs 1,800 for settlers.
He said, “The Sindh government is making new plans to create a wheat crisis in the coming days. Sindh government is pursuing anti-agriculture policy in federal enmity. In Sindh, the most expensive flour is being provided to the people instead of the government rate. The robbery of agriculture department on the people of Sindh is not acceptable. The federal government should use its constitutional authority to seek response from the Sindh government on the rate of wheat.” Khurram Sherzaman appealed to Supreme Court to take notice on wheat prices in Sindh.
