In Islamabad, a district and sessions court granted a three-day remand of former Member of the National Assembly (MNA), Ali Wazir, to the custody of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Tuesday. This decision was made in connection with a case involving allegations of inciting insurrection on social media.

Ali Wazir was presented before Judicial Magistrate Muhammad Shabbir Bhatti’s court, where the FIA’s investigation officer had initially requested a 10-day physical remand for Ali Wazir.

The investigation officer argued, “The device is to be recovered from Ali Wazir. His physical remand should be granted.”

However, the court approved a three-day physical remand for Ali Wazir, directing that he be presented again on September 15th.
