Following initial reports of the brutal rape and beheading of Noor Mukaddam, the 27-year-old daughter of former Envoy, Mr. Shuakat Mukaddam, on 20th July 2021, the female community is rallying in support of the victim and her family.  According to reports of Baaghi TV, the vivacious young woman was murdered in cold blood by Zahir Jaffer, son of Zakir Jaffer and Asmat Zakir, of the Jaffer Group of Companies. The incident left the Pakistani community, especially women and mothers, shocked and in chaos.  Initial investigation by the police led to a confessional by the 30-year-old Jaffer who said, “When she said no to marrying me, I locked her in a room and told the guard to not let anyone leave or enter.” Post-murder, Zahir Jaffer’s family tried to handle things via Therapy Works hired to get rid of Mukaddam’s body.
