Punjab Cabinet approves the Protection of Islam Foundation 2020 Act
Lahore, 21st July 2020: The Punjab Cabinet has approved the Protection of Islam Foundation 2020 Act.
Baaghi TV: According to Information Minister Fayyaz-ul-Hassan Chauhan, the Punjab Cabinet in its 33rd session has approved the Protection of Base Islam Act 2020.

The implementation of this Act will make it possible to completely eliminate offensive or blasphemous content. The publication of such books or any material which is against the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), the Companions, the Righteous Caliphs, the Mothers of the Believers, and the Ahl-al-Bayt will be completely banned.

The blasphemous material regarding the honor of any holy person will not be allowed to be published or distributed. The Department of Information and Culture will ensure the performance of administrative matters regarding the registration and regulation of books.
