Punjab government to impose smart lockdown on Eid-ul-Adha
Baaghi TV: A meeting chaired by Chief Secretary Punjab Jawad Rafique Malik in Lahore decided to launch Smart Lockdown. The meeting reviewed the arrangements for implementation of Smart Lockdown and SOPs in cattle markets. During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioners were given the power to extend the working hours of cattle markets. Chief Secretary Punjab Jawad Rafique said that protection of human lives was of utmost importance to the government while there was a danger of spreading corona virus by buying in the markets. He said that keeping in view the experience of Eid-ul-Fitr, it has been decided to launch Smart Lockdown and a screening counter would be set up at the entrances of cattle markets. According to the spokesperson of the Primary and Secondary Health Care Department, Corona Monitoring Room, 210 new cases of Corona virus are reported in Punjab, the number has risen to 91,901. 91 cases were reported in Lahore, 1 in Nankana, 1 in Kasur, 1 in Sheikhupura, 23 in Rawalpindi, 4 in Attock, 2 in Chakwal and 5 in Gujranwala.
