Lahore, 2nd May: Punjab government has announced to conduct 6,000 tests of coronavirus daily.
According to reports by Baaghi TV, Punjab Chief Minister Usman Bazdar has said that the province has no shortage of testing kits and will start 6,000 tests daily from tomorrow.
Speaking at a press conference in Lahore, Usman Bazdar said that there are 6,859 patients of Corona in Punjab out of which 115 have died and 2,206 patients have gone home after recovery while 90,000 people in the province are undergoing tests.
The Punjab Chief Minister said that 8 corona test labs are operational in Punjab, level three labs are being set up at a cost of Rs. 60 crore, smart sampling has been started from 6 districts and 6,000 tests will be conducted daily from tomorrow.

He said that the spread of Corona would be assessed through smart sampling while a recommendation to quarantine the homes of those coming from abroad would be sent to the federation.
Usman Buzdar said that recommendations have been made to the federal government regarding the opening of businesses, including the opening of markets related to the construction industry, power looms, and export sector.
Referring to quarantine centers, he said that an inquiry has been ordered into the complaints of the citizens, facilities are being provided to the patients in the quarantine and 90% of the people in the quarantine have recovered and gone home.
It may be recalled that the number of Corona cases across the country has crossed 18,000 out of which 421 people have died. According to the Ministry of Health, 1,93,859 people have been tested across the country so far.
