Lahore, 11th April: The Punjab government has included the name of famous Pakistani actress Meera in the Artist Support Fund.

Baaghi TV: Film actress Meera had requested the Punjab government last year that she has a private residence in Lahore and it is her responsibility to provide for 7 people, so her name should be included in the list of deserving artists.

According to the latest reports, her name has been added to the list and she will now start receiving a monthly allowance of Rs 5,000 from the government before Eid.

It should be noted that about 2,000 artists are registered in this fund set up by the government, while last week the Department of Information and Culture distributed checks of Rs 30,000 and Rs 50,000 to 120 artists.

It is to be noted that the actress is residing with her in-laws in the United States these days and was recently in news for being admitted to a mental asylum.

A couple of days back a video of Meera’s mother went viral on social media in which she said that her daughter has been admitted to a mental hospital in the United States. She urged Prime minister Imran Khan to help her daughter in a time of need.
