Punjab govt bans Friday prayer congregations
Lahore: Government of Punjab issued a notification limiting the number of people in Friday congregations to five less than an hour before Friday prayers. It states that between three to five people, including the imam and muezzin, are allowed to pray in the mosque. Following similar measures taken by Sindh and Balochistan, all others should offer prayers at home. Punjab government announced their decisions less than an hour before the Friday prayers, while Sindh and Balochistan announced their decisions the night before.
