Punjab govt decides to revise closure time of shops, markets

LAHORE: The Government of Punjab has decided to close shops at 6 pm to curb the spread of coronavirus and due to non-compliance of SOPs. According to the sources, this decision was made in light of frequent violations of the government-defined SOPs by businesses. The Punjab government has decided to close the shops from 6 pm. The Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) has opposed the government’s decision to close shops at 6 pm. LCCI President Mian Tariq Misbah said that the decision to close shops at 6 pm would increase the rush in the markets, time should not be reduced, traders would follow 100% of coronavirus SOPs.
