Lahore, 23rd August: For the first time ever, the Punjab government has taken the initiative to launch an air ambulance service in order to facilitate the sick and injured in the province.
According to details, the Punjab government has decided to launch a “Rescue Air Ambulance Service” in the province in a bid to facilitate the sick and injured people.
According to reports from Geo News, the decision was taken in a meeting held with Chief Minister Usman Buzdar at his office on Sunday. Punjab’s additional chief secretary, CM’s principal secretary and DG Rescue Services Punjab were also present.

CM Buzdar had ordered to finalize all matters for launching the air ambulance service at the earliest. He added that the launch of Rescue Air Ambulance will give a new identity to rescue services.
According to sources, three areas have been identified for air ambulance in Punjab. In the first phase, it is proposed to purchase two helicopters for the air ambulance service.
Hence, the service will be provided in the province to remote areas as well.
