Punjab notifies 30% increase on basic salaries of govt employees

The Punjab government has issued a notification of 30% increase in the basic salary of government employees.

The notification was issued by the Prime Minister after a phone call to the Caretaker Chief Minister Punjab, the Punjab government has issued a notification for a 5% increase in the pension of retired government employees. The salary hike will be effective from July 1.

Chief Minister Punjab has announced the increase in salaries in the budget, the government employees have rejected the increase in salaries. The employees threatened to protest again and take to the streets.
