According to the report of Baaghi TV, torrential rains in different parts of Punjab, including Lahore, caused floods.
The low-lying areas were flooded and the power supply was cut off after the rains. Four people were killed and several others injured in roof collapses in Chakwal district of Punjab. According to the Meteorological Department, the rains will continue intermittently for the next 24 hours.
In Lahore, the provincial capital of Punjab, many roads began to look like ponds due to rains. Underpasses flooded and alleys submerged. Water has also risen on major highways, causing difficulties for people. Due to the rain, the transmission system of LESCO also came to a standstill.

On the other hand, roof collapses also took place in different cities of Punjab. The roofs of two houses collapsed in Lakhwal area of Chakwal, killing 20-year-old Kainat, 17-year-old Mehtab, 10-year-old Aiza and 14-year-old Darin. Two people were injured and taken to hospital.
In Chishtian, the roof of a house collapsed due to rain, injuring two people. Rescue teams rushed him to the hospital. Weather forecasters said that the rains would continue intermittently for the next 24 hours.
Provincial Minister Mian Mahmood Al-Rasheed has instructed WASA officials to drain rainwater as soon as possible. He said that WASA officials should ensure the presence of their staff in the field while special attention would be given to drainage of water from low lying areas. Lahore will record 110 mm rainfall so far, WASA staff will be present in the field till complete drainage of water.
It should be noted that it is raining in Punjab and the incidence of roof collapses due to rains is continuously increasing. Two workers were killed and two others were injured when a roof collapsed due to rain in Islamabad Colony area of Sargodha yesterday.
