Qureshi speaks hard-hitting ‘truth’ about PTI as by-poll compaign pace up

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi while campaigning for his son for the by-election in Multan and alleged his own party of conspiring against him and losing the election.

Addressing a corner meeting during the ongoing by-election campaign in Multan’s PP-217 constituency, Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that in the 2018 general election, his party conspired against him and removed him from the provincial assembly seat.

“What difference it makes to me? I became foreign minister of the country. But it affects you,” he made shocking revealation.

Qureshi claimed if he would had been elected from the Punjab then the province’s fate would have been different now. Clearly referring to the Usman Buzdar selection as chief minister.

“People told me not to field my Zain in the by-elections. If the vice chairman’s son loses, it will be a disgrace. I told them that some wars are not fought just to win,” he said.

It may be recalled that in the 2018 general elections, Shah Mehmood Qureshi had contested from the National Assembly and Provincial Assembly seats.

He had won the National Assembly seat, but in PP-217, he lost to the young independent candidate Muhammad Salman.
