Leading Indian Tv channel Times Now chief editor Rahul Shivshankar has quit the channel.
Shivshankar’s Twitter bio has been updated to “Editor-in-chief Times Now, 2016 to 2023”. A senior member of the channel’s management confirmed the news of Shivshankar’s exit.
Shivshankar, who joined the channel in 2016 after resigning as NewsX editor-in-chief, used to host the primetime show Newshour on Times Now. With more than 20 years of experience in the news industry, he has also worked with Headlines Today and India Today.
Newslaundry also learnt that Shivshankar has left the channel’s WhatsApp groups.
Shivshankar did not answer Newslaundry’s calls. Newslaundry also reached out to the channel for comment. This report will be updated if a response is received.
