June 7, 2021: On the directive of the Prime Minister, the Railway Minister left Islamabad for Ghotki in an emergency. Baaghi TV: Prime Minister Imran Khan contacted Railway Minister Azam Swati and inquired about the Ghotki train accident. Azam Swati provided preliminary information about the accident to the Prime Minister. The Railway Minister is coming to Ghotki by helicopter in an emergency and will reach the crash site shortly. Azam Swati said that it was a big accident and regretted that 33 people were killed and many passengers were injured. He said that the rescue operation would oversee the treatment of the injured.

According to the report of Baaghi TV, Pakistan Army and Rangers personnel also reached near Daharki for rescue operations of the train accident. According to ISPR, Pakistan Army and Rangers have launched a relief and rescue operation. Military doctors and personnel from Panu Aqil rushed to the spot with ambulance. Rescue personnel have been airlifted to Sindh while two helicopters have been dispatched from Multan to evacuate the injured. The injured will be airlifted to hospitals as soon as possible.

The Railway Minister further said that arrangements are being made to deliver the remaining passengers to their homes on time, it has been decided to investigate the train accident on self-emergency basis, those responsible for the accident will not be forgiven.

Railway Minister Azam Swati has called for a preliminary investigation report on the Ghotki accident within 24 hours. It may be mentioned that 30 people were killed and dozens injured in a collision between Sir Syed Express and Millat Express near Daharki. Help centers have been set up in Karachi, Sukkur, Faisalabad and Rawalpindi. Sukkur, Ghotki, Mirpur Mathilo. Ejaz Ahmed, the driver of Sir Syed Express, who was involved in a tragic accident near Daharki, has revealed about the accident. According to driver Ijaz Ahmed, when we saw bogies falling in front of us on the down track, we applied emergency brakes, however, the accident happened. The train driver Kamzad said that two air-conditioned business class bogies of Sir Syed Express and a dining car were affected in the accident while 3 AC business, 8 economy class bogies of the other train Millat Express fell on the down track.

Instead of repairing it, he woke up and shook the train near the sand. And the clamp broke, after which the bogie overturned. Immediately after the bogie overturned, the Sir Syed Express crashed. On the other hand, Federal Minister Fawad Chaudhry said that the cause of the train accident could not be stated immediately. Preliminary investigation of the train accident is underway. Relief operations are underway at the site of the train accident.

It is to be noted that this morning near Ghotki, a terrible accident took place between Millat Express from Karachi to Sargodha and Sir Syed Express from Punjab to Karachi in which 30 people were killed and several others injured.

Federal Minister for IT and Telecom Aminul Haq expressed sorrow over the train accident near Daharki and said that he shares the grief of the families of those killed in the train accident and prayed for the forgiveness of the deceased and speedy recovery of the injured. Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Siraj-ul-Haq expressed regret over the train accident near Daharki and said that the train accident is a great tragedy. He openly criticized the PTI government saying, every institution has derailed for three years. In one year there were 137 train accidents. The government is silent. Such a large number of accidents is the incompetence of the government.

The President and other government officials have expressed regret over the train accident near Daharki.
