Rain delays third day’s play in Bangladesh-Pakistan Test #Baaghi

Dec 6, 2021: The third day of the second Test match between Bangladesh and Pakistan in Dhaka on Monday was delayed due to rain which started as a result of a weakened cyclone.

In the first two days, only 63.2 overs were possible when Pakistan reached 188-2 in their first innings. Captain Babar Azam (71) Azhar li (52) were both batting for Pakistan before rain struck. Tej-ul-Islam took both the wickets that fell at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium.

Initially, play on day three was scheduled to start at 9:30am local time.

Pakistan won the first Test in Chittagong by eight wickets to take a 1-0 lead in the two-Test series.

Azhar Ali hit seven fours in his innings while the Pakistani captain hit eight fours and a six in his innings. The rain earlier also dampened day 2 of of the Dhaka Test, after which the game was finally canceled on Sunday after several delays and resumes.

After lunch the game resumed, and the morning session in Dhaka was canceled due to rain and poor lighting. However, due to continuous rain and wet outfield, the game was eventually canceled for the day.
