Baaghi TV: The weather has turned pleasant after torrential rains in different parts of the country last night. The Meteorological Department has forecast partly cloudy weather and light rain in Karachi today.
According to details, monsoon rains are continuing across the country. According to the information received in this regard, heavy rains lashed the surrounding areas including Rawalpindi and Islamabad last night, after which a light frost made the weather more pleasant.
In Lahore also, rain water along with strong winds rained heavily, with thunderstorms in Haripur city and its environs.
In Lahore this morning, black clouds set up camp. On Wednesday morning, strong winds along with black clouds blew in the city, which broke the heat wave. The weather became very pleasant due to heavy rains with strong winds.
More rain is expected in the next 24 hours, according to the Meteorological Department. Apart from Lahore, other cities of Punjab like Muridke, Sheikhupura, Gujranwala, Sakhikhi, Sarai Alamgir, Kalabagh, Gujarat, Kasur and some areas of Sahiwal received rain. More rain is expected in these areas.
More than 22 mm of rain was recorded in Saidpur, Bokra, PMD and Shamsiabad areas of Rawalpindi.
MD WASA said that they are constantly monitoring the flow of water in Nala Lei. The water level here is 6 feet on Kataria and 4 feet on Gawalmandi bridge. WASA staff is busy pumping water from low lying areas.
On the other hand, the weather forecasters said that the weather will be cloudy in Quaid-e-Azam city today and light rain is also expected.
The temperature in Karachi was recorded at 31 degrees Celsius in the morning while the maximum temperature is expected to be recorded at 34 degrees today.
According to the Meteorological Department, the air humidity in Karachi was 73 percent and the speed was recorded at 12 km per hour.
Besides, Sheikhupura, Gujarat and Ferozewala received showers and drizzle with strong winds in and around Sangla Hill. According to the Meteorological Department, more rains are forecast in Lahore for the next three days.
