Ramadan Moon Not Sighted in India and Bangladesh,1st Ramadan will be on 24 March

The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee of India has announced that the Ramadan moon is not sighted in India. Therefore, the first day of fasting will be observed on 24 March 2023.

The moon sighting committee met in different states in India Wednesday evening to sight the Ramadan moon. The sighting was not confirmed by any credible witnesses from different parts of the country.
The government has also announced a number of measures to ensure safe and peaceful Ramadan. Muslims across India are preparing for the month of Ramadan, which is a time of spiritual reflection and devotion.
In India, the moon sighting is carried out by a committee of religious scholars and astronomers in each major city, including Mumbai, Delhi, Aligarh, and Hyderabad. The committee gathers at a specific location to observe the moon and verify its sighting with the naked eye.
