The splendid old city Lahore, on the banks of the Ravi river, was famous for its natural beauty, historical and cultural heritage. Rapid urbanization, unplanned and directionless developments led the beautiful city into a disorganized and less efficient infrastructural city. The rampant spread, unfortunately, led to its current state – no forest left. The city, known as the “City of Gardens” now from the recent years has been categorized as the most polluted city in the world. As with a growing population, the need for water supply and storage is increasing day by day but, the water level of Lahore is continuously decreasing, this is an alarming situation for us. We have no reservoir to store water properly, which we usually get from rains.
