Reduction in Price per unit of Electricity Expected

ISLAMABAD: Possibility of reduction in price per unit of electricity is expected.

According to the details, CPPA has submitted an application to NEPRA for reduction of 12 paisa per unit in electricity prices.

May’s fuel price adjustment may reduce electricity prices by 12 paise per unit, The petition will be heard on June 29 by NEPRA to take action.

In addition, NEPRA has extended the concessional package of electricity rates for industrial consumers. Under the package, the government will provide subsidy to industrial consumers. The concessional package of electricity will be extended till June 30, 2022.
