The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) held a meeting and is considering a proposal to provide relief to the low-income group following the recent hike in petrol prices.
According to details, a meeting of the party leadership was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan in which the overall inflation situation in the country was considered. Concerns were heard and instructions were given.
Sources have revealed, on this occasion, that Prime Minister Imran Khan said:
“We are aware of the effects of inflation, therefore we are expanding the scope of health card, farmer card and Ehsas program.”

The PM of Pakistan directed the party leaders to launch a targeted subsidy program for the weaker sections of the country as soon as possible.
The meeting also proposed to provide relief on petrol to the low-income group, which is also being considered.
Talking about the meeting, Governor Sindh, Imran Ismail, stated:
“The Prime Minister has directed to formulate a program to provide subsidy to the low income group on petrol under which rickshaws and public transport would be given relief in the price of petrol.”
