Lahore, 16th April: Amid a reshuffle in the cabinet, Shaukat Tareen has been given an important post.
According to Baaghi TV’s reports, Prime Minister Imran Khan after reshuffling his cabinet once again appointed Shaukat Tareen as the new finance minister on Friday.
Shaukat Tareen has been appointed as the country’s new finance minister in the place of Hammad Azhar who was given the additional charge a few weeks back.
Azhar who was the Minister for Industries and Production earlier has now replaced Omar Ayub as power minister.
Omar Ayub has been appointed as the Minister for Economic Affairs, replacing Khusro Bakhtiar, who has now been appointed as the Minister for Industries and Production.
It is to be noted that on March 29, Finance Minister Abdul Hafeez Shaikh was replaced with Hammad Azhar as the new finance minister.
Baaghi TV had reported last month in March that banker Shaukat Tareen had agreed to take up the post and asked for a 15-20 days’ period to join.
