Resolution passed at the Senate to express solidarity with Kashmiris
Lahore, 5th August 2020: The Senate has unanimously passed a resolution expressing solidarity with the oppressed Kashmiris.
The resolution said that occupied Jammu and Kashmir is a recognized disputed territory. Atrocities and occupation on Kashmiris is a violation of UN resolutions.
According to the resolution, India has locked down Kashmir for a year now. The Hindutva agenda is being pursued in occupied Kashmir. The Kashmiri leadership was arrested and 11,000 Kashmiris were martyred.

The resolution called on India to allow observers and media to visit Kashmir. According to the resolution, India is violating the LoC on a daily basis.
Earlier, a resolution was passed in the Azad Kashmir Legislative Assembly against the aggressive occupation of Jammu and Kashmir by India and on the day of exploitation of Kashmir. The resolution was moved by Azad Kashmir Prime Minister Sardar Farooq Haider.

The resolution said that the Legislative Assembly condemns the Indian atrocities in occupied Kashmir. The resolution condemned the arrest of the Hurriyat leadership. The Hurriyat leadership and the arrest of foreign media representatives were also condemned.
The resolution condemned India’s August 5 move and called for an end to the siege and curfew in occupied Kashmir.
