Rev. Emanual Sardar Khokhar Boycotts Interfaith Conference 2019

Lahore: President [Lahore Division] Peace Committee for Interfaith Peace and Harmony Pakistan plans to boycott the Interfaith Conference 2019.

It has been reported that Rev. Emanuel Sardar Khokhar, Vice Chairman, Diocese of Raiwind, Church of Pakistan has decided to boycott the upcoming Interfaith Conference to be held on the 17th of May, 2019.

According to sources, he has based this decision on the grounds of reasons given below:

He claims that the stakeholders of the Church of Pakistan have not been invited to attend the conference. He continued to state that no on-duty Bishop of the Church of Pakistan has been invited.

According to Rev. Khokhar, the merit has been ignored with regards to those chosen to attend the Interfaith Conference. He has elaborated that the people selected to be a part of the conference have nothing to do with interfaith activities.

He concluded, that the Office of Interfaith Harmony of Raiwind Diocese Church of Pakistan has also been ignored.
