Right-wing Americans believe Oscars are a ‘waste of time’

Los Angeles (13th Feb, 2020): Hollywood star, Brad Pitt, finds himself part of a right-wing controversy. 

The American actor may be one of the most sought-after Hollywood actor, however, he apparently fails to impress right-winged Americans including US President, Donald Trump’s son, Eric Trump.

According to reports, Eric Trump took to Instagram to throw shade on the fifty-six year old Ad Astra star. Trump reportedly commented that the reason behind the low-ratings of the Academy Awards on the superstar.

Trump argued that the American public does not like to be “preached by smug elitists”. He added that the “Oscars ratings fall 25% to all-time low.”

According to reports, many right-winged supporters agreed with the businessman as they commented that the awards were a “waste of time”. It is believed that the criticism is a direct reaction Pitt’s speech. The Once Upon a Time in Hollywood actor had added a political twist to his acceptance speech for Best Supporting Actor.
