Rihanna honored as ‘national hero’ of her home country
Barbados: Rihanna has been declared “The pride of Barbados”. Citizens want her to keep improving her career and to “shine bright like a diamond.”
She was honored in her home country, Barbados during its presidential inauguration, which marked the country finally turning into a republic. Mia Mottley. Barbadian Prime Minister addressed the crowd and presented Rihanna as their ambassador. She gave her wishes to excel in her career and to bring honor to her nation by herworks, by your actions.
Rihanna was appointed as an ambassador of Barbados in 2018.
According to the Barbados Government Information Office, the position bestows the singer with the responsibility to promote education, tourism and investment for the island.
She was also entitled as one of the Caribbean island country’s cultural ambassadors in the year 2008.
