Robina Khalid, PPP Senator Charged with Corruption
Islamabad (2nd Aug, 2019): PPP Senator, Robina Khalid indicted for Lok Virsa corruption case by the Accountability Court (AC).
According to reports of Baaghi TV, Accountability Court has reportedly charged Robina Khalid with corruption linked to the Lok Virsa Case, in reference to National Accountability Bureau (NAB). AC Judge Muhammad Bashir has is heading the case after picking the case on Friday.
PPP Senator including the former officers of Lok Virsa, Al Salam, Tabinda Zafar and Muhammad Shafi reportedly appeared before the court for hearing, claim sources. Baaghi’s sources confirm that the suspects have been indicted despite claims of being not guilty. The court has reportedly summoned a witness for the next hearing which has been confirmed to be scheduled for the 4th of September, 2019.
Moreover, it has been reported that the accused apart from their connection to the Lok Virsa corruption case are allegedly also reponsible for an approximate loss of Rs, 30 million to the Pakistani exchequer.
