Rolls-Royce Phantom registered in the name of Amitabh Bachchan seized
The Karnataka Transport Department has seized seven luxury vehicles in a special raid, one of which is a Rolls-Royce Phantom registered in the name of Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan.
The car was gifted to Amitabh Bachchan by filmmaker Vadhu Nod Chopra in 2007 on the success of the film Ek Lavya.
According to the Times of India, Amitabh Bachchan had sold the car to Yousuf Sharif alias De Babu of Umrah Developers in 2019, but the ownership of the car was allegedly not transferred, leaving no further details.
The operation on Vittal Mallya Road started about 4 p.m. on Sunday and resulted in the seizure of multiple high-end vehicles, including Land Rovers, Porsches, and Jaguars, some of which were parked in UB City.
