Saba Qamar’s music video took away my happiness
Lahore, 10th August: Assistant Commissioner of Lahore Muhammad Murtaza explains how the music video by the actress Saba Qamar has destroyed his happiness.
Two days ago, a video of the song by the actress Saba Qamar and singer Bilal Saeed went viral on social media. The controversy sparked when the song was filmed in the Wazir Khan Mosque in which the sanctity of the mosque had been violated.
Case filed against Saba Qamar and Bilal Saeed
For the past two days, the public, including religious figures, have been expressing outrage and calling on the government to take action. After this the two artists apologized to the public, explaining that they had made not filmed a video in the mosque.
Now the Assistant Commissioner of Lahore Mohammad Murtaza, in a series of tweets on Twitter, criticized the move by Saba Qamar and Bilal Saeed, saying that the shooting of Saba Qamar’s song in the mosque snatched away the most important happiness of my life.

“I don’t know Saba Qamar personally, but Saba Qamar and Bilal Saeed have recently played a sad (and emotionally traumatic) role in my life,” Murtaza said. “They don’t know it yet. But they should know”.

Murtaza told that he visited Wazir Khan Mosque in old Lahore and fell in love with the mosque. The Mosque has a deep connection with Lahore’s traditions and history.
Murtaza wrote that he had then promised himself that if possible he would get married and perform his Nikah in this mosque.

6 years after that a global epidemic changed the culture of Pakistani marriage. He had been appointed as Assistant Commissioner in Lahore after the final exams and so decided to get married. It was his dream to get married at the famous Wazir Khan Masjid.
Muhammad Murtaza said that the date of marriage was fixed on Sunday morning after Fajr in Wazir Khan Mosque and his marriage would take place in accordance with the Sunnah of our Prophet (PBUH).
How could Saba Qamar perform dance in a Holy mosque?
“My future wife’s dress was ready. My clothes were also ready. Even guests were also invited,” he informed through his Twitter account.
Murtaza said that his plan was to get married early in the morning at the Wazir Khan Mosque. However, due to the shoot of Saba Qamar’s music video, his Nikah got canceled by the Mosque administration.
Mohammad Murtaza added that the same person who had given permission for the dance video inside the mosque the day before my marriage called me and said that he could not allow anything inside the mosque.
Isn’t it sad how a Nikah gets canceled in a mosque for a music video?
