Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder and former prime minister Imran Khan has appointed Salman Akram Raja secretary general of the party and made important alterations to the party structure, citing sources, Baaghi News reported on Saturday.

 

According to sources, the party founder has separated party’s political matters from parliamentary affairs.

 

In significant changes, political Salman Akram Raja who has been appointed secretary general of PTI will look over political responsibilities of the party while Opposition Leader Omar Ayub and Senator Shibli Faraz will lead the parliamentary team.

 

On the other hand, a think tank would be formed under the leadership of Raoof Hasan who will oversee the issuance of a white paper on electoral matters and government performance.

 

The notification of new appointments will be issued after Islamabad gathering, they added.
