Sanjrani convenes first meeting of commission on Baloch missing students

 

Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani summoned the first meeting of the commission on missing Baloch students—set up under orders of the Islamabad High Court (IHC)— at 10.30 am on July 4th.

Senate Chairman summoned secretary of human rights ministry at July 4th in the chamber of chairman senate, first floor, Parliament House, Islamabad.

The commission is titled ‘Quaid-e-Azam University Missing Baloch Student Recovery and Commission to Prevent Alleged Harassment’.

The secretary will brief regarding commission on its background, mandate, and other related matters.

In an earlier case hearing, the Chief Justice (CJ) of the Islamabad High Court Athar Minallah summoned the interior secretary and human rights ministry secretary to explain why the meeting of the commission—constituted on IHC orders—has not been convened on Baloch missing students
